In Guild Wars 2 player can take only 500 gold from mailbox per week. This is a limitation imposed by game developers. However, it does not mean you cannot receive more than 500 gold per week to you mailbox, you can, but the remaining gold will be kept inside mailbox till next week. So, for example, if you order 2000 gold, it will take 4 weeks to fully recover that amount from mailbox. Cooldown resets every Monday.
